‘Extreme commitment’ and ‘excellent knowledge of young children’ has resulted in a Boston nursery getting an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating.
Mon Ami Children’s Nursery owner Samantha Britton said staff were “extremely happy” with the inspector’s verdict.
She said: “It reflects a true picture of the highly qualified team and commitment of the staffing team at the nursery.”
In the report the owners, management and staff at the Woodville Road nursery were also highly praised as giving high quality care and being extremely committed.
The inspectors noted the they ‘deliver the learning and development requirements extremely well’ and said they had excellent knowledge of how young children learn.
They said: “Children are extremely happy, settled and motivated in the nursery environment as they are provided with a positive balance of chosen spontaneous play and adult-initiated activities.”
They praised the nursery’s outdoor facilities and said the staff help children form ‘positive attitudes and dispositions for learning’.
The children’s relationship with staff was praised and children who have been in the nursery longer were said to be ‘extremely independent and cooperate very well with each other’.
They said: “Staff also offer lots of praise, acknowledgement and encouragement to support and motivate children.”
Mon Ami has been open since 2005 and teaches children aged up to five.
