Students from 10 secondary schools across the county came together to compete in sporting events for Boston College’s The Games 2014.

Forty budding sports stars battled it out in a variety of physical and theory-based challenges at the Peter Paine Sports Centre for the title of Grand Champion.

The top two boys and two girls from each school were determined at heats in December last year, and these finalists then came together to compete for individual titles.

After the event, organised by Boston College students, the scores were counted up and the winning school – taking home the title for the fourth year running – was Boston High School.

The top six winners took home a trophy and medal along with a host of prizes donated by local companies.

The individual winners (pictured right) were as follows:

Boys - 1st Mattie Bray, Kirton Middlecott School, 2nd George Smith, Thomas Cowley High School, Donington, 3rd Lucas Inglis, Thomas Cowley High School. Girls - 1st Olivia McAllen, Bourne Academy, 2nd Charlie Farrar, Bourne Academy, 3rd Alex Osbiston, The Deeping School.
