VIDEO: Primary school children help open Boston’s new footbridge

Waiting for Video...

Pupils from Park Academy released red, white and blue balloons into the sky at a ceremony to officially open Boston’s new footbridge.

The pupils, joint by deputy mayor Coun Paul Goodale and Coun Richard Davies, then crossed the structure, which replaces the old St Botolph’s Bridge.

The bridge itself is not yet open to pedestrians – who will now have to wait until next week for the finishing touches to be put in place.
