Children from Boston’s Haven High Academy have been showing off their wares at the town’s Asda supermarket recently as part of the Young Enterprise project. The students have been turning their classroom into a boardroom and showing off their business prowess as part of the project which sees youngsters create and run their own company.
The would-be entrepreneurs visited the Lister Way store as part of a partnership between the supermarket and Young Enterprise.
The 10 children have created a real firm with tie-dye products and do everything from selling shares in their business in order to raise capital, through to designing and making their product, to selling directly to customers and ultimately winding up the firm and even paying taxes.
