New computers, an outdoor PA system and bedding plants have been bought for Bicker Prep School thanks to a donation of £1,500.

The Parents Association raised the money through various fun events organised and held over the last few months.

Among other things it has provided for the school, the recent donation has funded two computers and the PA system – to be used for outdoor events such as sports day and May Pole dancing.

Association chairman Lisa Smith said: “We like to provide funds for the school so it can enhance its facilities and equipment. The plants and fertiliser will help the children to plant things in the flower beds and watch them grow.”

She added: “We try to make all our fundraising events fun and interesting, as raising money in this economic climate can be quite tricky.”
