VIDEO: Pupils learn hairdressing skills at ‘university’

On Friday mornings Park Academy becomes ‘Park University’ – as pupils take part in degree-style subjects.
Youngsters choose betweena variety of lessons, including hairdressing, animal studies, Swedish, food technology and politics.
Gunilla Karlsson, lead mentor at the school, said: “We are doing this to raise aspiration and widen the minds of our pupils to strive to be the best they can.”
