Performing pupils put their prowess to the test and proved ‘Kirton’s Got Talent’.

Youngsters from all age groups at Kirton Primary School took part in their own version of Simon Cowell’s hit ITV talent contest.

The school council held auditions and worked their way through acts ranging from jugglers to jokers before picking the final 12 acts to feature in a talent show.

They then went before the school’s answer to David Walliams, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell – chair of governors Helen Nix, deputy mayoress Angie Goodale, deputy mayor Paul Goodale, and Father Gary Morgan.

The panel chose ‘Pick and Mix’ as the overall winners. The group of four girls won for their rendition of Wings by girl group Little Mix.
