ZOMBIES and other undead monsters descended on Boston High School for their last day of school this year.
Students chose the theme of The Living Dead for their final day and dressed and decorated accordingly today, catching the eyes of passers by.
Headteacher Jason Howard said: “As is traditional, students in the Upper Sixth have the opportunity to choose their theme for their last day in school.
“This year, students decided that they were the ‘living dead’ – perhaps reflecting their pre-exam exhaustion - and decorated the school with ghosts, bats and other spooky paraphernalia.”
The students also wrote personal messages to each other to be published with photos in the school’s weekly newsletter and then had their final assembly in which they received awards and watched a ‘tear-jerking’ reminder of their seven years at the school.
Dr Howard praised the ‘incredibly moving messages the students wrote for both their peers, and for members of staff, and the superb conduct during their final, very emotional assembly’.
He added: “We will miss them hugely.”
Signs were hung on the railings which dubbed the school ‘Howard’s Hell Hole’ and the year 13s’The Living Dead’ for the occasion.
