EMBROIDERS GUILD OF BOSTON: Unravelling the history of embroidery

SPEAKER for the May meeting was Moira Ackers who talked about the History of English Embroidery from 909 to 1851 noting how embroidery changed during the period.

She moved from the Bayeux Tapestry through the Tudor and Stuart periods to the Great Exhibition in 1851.

The June meeting will be held on Monday at the Len Medlock Centre from 7-9pm. Denise Priestley will be leading a trinket box mini workshop.
