HISTORIC buildings which have seen better days will get the chance to be restored to their former glory with the launch of a scheme to revitalise parts of the town.
Boston Borough Council has established a £650,000 fund, which is available to help with the cost of restoration for buildings in and around conservation areas - especially in Wormgate and in the Market Place.
The money, which is offered on a first-come-first-served, will be available from tomorrow (Thursday), so property owners are advised to hurry to make sure they have a chance at getting some of the money.
Owners of eligible properties who are interested in the scheme are being invited to the official launch of the project at the Guildhall tomorrow.
They will be able to learn more about the grant scheme between 4pm and 6pm, as well as having the chance to talk to borough council officers about how to apply for a grant.
Property owners can contact Liz Bates at the council now on 01205 314339 or firstname.lastname@example.org to ask about eligible work.
