Donation to RSPCA by classic car club

THE RSPCA has been given a boost thanks to a generous £750 donation from Boston Classic Car Club.

The Boston-based club selected the East Winch Wildlife Centre as one of its two chosen charities for the past year – with The Butterfly Hospice also receiving £750.

Funds were raised through the club’s shows and raffles, as well as through a charity auction of donated goods at the its annual lunch in January.

RSPCA volunteer and treasurer of the Boston Classic Car Club Russell New said: “I have been volunteering at the East Winch Wildlife Centre for just over four years now, so I know the good work they do for animals.

“It was for that reason I suggested the centre as a charity for the Boston Classic Car Club to support.”

RSPCA East Winch Wildlife Centre manager Alison Charles said: “We are very reliant on public support and it is donations like this that keep the centre running and enable us to keep caring for wildlife.”
