Further to the letter by Mr Bowler, may I point out that I have never said that I am in favour of the electricity substation proposal to be sited near Bicker.
My concern is that we have the recent example of the East Heckington Wind Farm application being railroaded through the planning processes by central government. This was despite strong opposition both locally and from the county council.
Should this happen again with the current substation proposal, Boston Borough Council need to be prepared to start negotiating about £1m to benefit the locality. This is the scale of funding South Holland managed to negotiate with recent power station developments in their area.
