Two green projects in Boston reach the final of Lincolnshire Environmental Awards

TWO green projects based in the Boston area have been shortlisted in the Lincolnshire Environmental Awards.

The John Fielding Community Special School and the Boston Woods Trust will go head to head with other finalists in the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust-run awards.

Youngsters at the school, who have been growing organic venegatbles and making a greenhouse out of recycled bottles, among other things, will face competition from five other entires in the Young Environmentalist Award.

Boston Woods Trust, which has started work on a seven-mile woodland crescent to the west of the town, is up for the Best Community Award.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held in Lincoln on Wednesay.
