An open day is to be held at Boston’s Oxfam shop to provide information on volunteering.

Taking place at the Wide Bargate store next Wednesday between 10.30am-12.30pm, it will give visitors the opportunity to have a look around the shop and also behind the scenes, as well as meeting and chatting to the shop manager and some volunteers.

Shop manager Jason Kirk said: “The heart of our shop is its team of kind, talented and dedicated volunteers. Being such a busy shop, we need to recruit more.

“Each and every new volunteer will be greeted by friendly faces and a warm welcome.

“So whether you want to improve your CV, explore your interests, do your bit to fight poverty, contribute to the local community or just meet a wonderful bunch of people, please pop in to find out more.”
