Firefighters from Boston and Spalding have rescued a pig from a dyke in Fishtoft.

Lincs Fire and Rescue said crews attended the incident on Sibsey Road earlier today,

A spokesman for the fire service told The Standard: “The pig had escaped from a local farm.

“The crew assisted the farmer and they used pig boards to guide the pig out of the dyke.

“They thought they may have to lift the pig out but they managed to guide him with the boards.”
