Float collides with telegraph pole following collision

A milk float ended up colliding with a telegraph pole this morning after an accident with a Vauxhall Corsa.

A police spokesman said a 30-year-old man, who was driving the Corsa, was taken to Pilgrim Hospital with minor injuries to his hand following the incident outside Crawford’s Garage in Frithville Bank at 7.30am.

Police understand the milk float was knocked off the road onto a grass verge and into a telegraph pole as a result of the collision.

The road was completely blocked to traffic while the vehicles were recovered and reopened at about 9.30am.
