A Boston bistro is offering a free cup of tea to past and serving members of the armed forces in the week following Remembrance Sunday.

Country Gourmet, in Pen Street, will offer a free warm brew as a gesture of support for troops ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

Owners Mick and Sharon Wood thought of the idea last year after learning how tea wagons were sent out to the troops in the Second World War to keep their spirits up.

Veterans and serving members are asked to bring a medal along with them to get the free tea.

The offer is from Monday-Saturday, 8am-4pm.
