The annual May Fair rolled into town on Saturday attracting families and young thrill-seekers.
Boston Mayor Coun Paul Kenny officially declared the fair open after a short service from the steps of the gallopers.
There are a wide variety of fairground attractions and rides, accompanying all the usual traditional favourites. The fair has a Royal Charter dating back to the 12th Century.
It is open until Saturday, May 10 and police say fair-goers have been well behaved.
