AN AWARD-winning Boston tattooist is set to star on the silver screen after being offered a role in an upcoming British feature film.

Mark Snow, who works at Sim1nk in Wormgate, was offered a small role in independent gangster film 2Die4 – which is currently in pre-production.

“When I got a call saying they’d like me to do a 10-minute scene with four or five lines, I was pretty shocked,” said Mark, 32.

Despite having never acted before, it should be a breeze for Mark – the film role is that of a tattoist.

“I’m due to hear next week when we will start filming in London – it will certainly be an experience.” he said.

The self-taught tattooist had a second bit of good news recently after learning he had won the award for best sleeve at a tattoo convention in Hull with a polynesian design.

Mark, who tattooed international footballer David Bentley last month, is now hoping to appear in national magazines as part of their coverage on the Hull convention.
