BLIND people in Boston can try out new activities thanks to a £500 grant.

Coun Raymond Singleton-McGuire donated money from his Councillor Big Society Fund, to Boston charity BOLD (Blind Outdoor Lesiure Development).

BOLD president Mary Clark said: “We really do appreciate it. BOLD’s aim is to help anyone try out an activity. We’ve helped people try golf, horse-riding, swimming and bowls, as well as social activities or trips to the theatre.”

The grant will go towards financing a new minibus.
