BOSTON town centre was teeming with crowds lining the streets ready to see the Olympic torch pass through the town this afternoon – and The Standard’s mascot was out there with them.
Boskat joined more than a thousand people in the Market Place to welcome the torch and soak up the atmosphere of this once-in-a-lifetime event.
The air was filled with excitement as people waited for the torch to arrive in the town’s main square, and when it finally arrived flags were waving vigourously and people cheered loudly to support bearer 12-year-old Katie Walmsley as she ran past with the flame aloft.
On-looked described the event as ‘exciting’ and ‘impressive’.
