A NON-uniform day at Haven High Technology College raised almost £1,000 for a charity very close to the school’s heart.
In October staff member Linda Beauchamp lost her 30-year-old daughter Emma Brannigan following a long battle against brain stem cancer and in support of Emm’s Fund the students donated all money from the non-uniform day.
The funds raised will help towards Cancer Research UK’s plan to set up five new centres of excellence in which new research will one day improve survival rates for all.
Linda said: “This cheque collected by all of the students for this wonderful cause is overwhelming.”
