Patients being treated in Pilgrim Hospital’s Royle Eye department are to benefit following a generous donation.

The Boston League of Friends has contributed £50,000 to the department to fund a piece of equipment used to scan for diseases such as glaucoma.

It means patients will no longer have to travel to Lincoln for this procedure.

The money has come from legacies left to the friends’ group and a donation from Carr Funeral Services.
