Pupils from Carlton Road Academy have been designing posters advertising smoke-free play areas in Fenside as part of a campaign encouraging people to stub out the habit.

The scheme, organised by Boston Mayflower, in partnership with Lincolnshire Health Partnership, saw pupils produce posters for a compeition. Winners Kyle Guilfoyle,Dominyka Mackevic and Caroline Amaral will see their poster designs put up in the spring.

See tomorrow’s Standard for a full two-page special feature on quitting the habit as part of the national No Smoking Day.
