Boston area baker Martin Jessop is running the London Marathon on April 21 in a bid to raise £1,000 for the Stroke Association.
Martin, 43, of Jessops the Bakers, was one of the Olympic torch bearers last year and has been busy training with runs around the area – and the F1 Silverstone circuit.
“I took part in a half marathon there,” he said. “But there were no cars on the track at the time.”
Martin said he chose the charity as it helped his mum who suffered a stroke in 2011.
