Two managers of Boots chemists are to attempt a 26-mile bike ride in aid of a cancer charity.

The duo of Maria Martin, from Boston, and Phil Belcher, of the Spalding store, will get back in the saddle wearing bright green wigs to raise funds for Macmillan.

On the morning of Thursday, October 3, they will set off accompanied by a support car - and follow a route from Holbeach through Boston and onto Spalding. They are expected to arrive in Boston around noon.

The Boston branch, in Market Place, will be raising money for the charity with various fun activities in store.

The duo are part of a 16-strong regional Lincs and Humber Boots team attempting to visit all 84 Boots stores in the region.
