The Fitness First branch on Boston West Business Park is to close it’s doors it has been confirmed.
The branch was released following a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), to restructure and refinance the business, by the gym chain’s parent company earlier this year.
It means eight staff will be affected as the lease of the building will return to the landlord to decide what to do with it next.
A spokesman for the company told The Standard that the company is looking to transfer the staff to other branches where possible.
A total of 67 clubs are to be sold or released as part of the process including the Boston branch, while another 62 will be retained and invested in, with another 18 gyms remaining unaffected by the CVA in the UK.
It is believed the Boston gym will close on November 30.
