Two former nursing blocks at the back of Pilgrim Hospital have been earmarked for destruction.
Hospital bosses have submitted plans to Boston Borough Council to knock down the three-storey buildings, which it says are not fit for purpose and have been replaced by newer accomdation, built about six or seven years ago.
The plans state that the layout and construction are not suitable for other uses.
The buildings will be ‘dismantled carefully’ if permission is given and once taken down the land will be grassed over.
The work is due to be completed before the start of December.
