Yes,, there may be some under performing departments but one department is outstanding and that is the Boston Breast Unit.
Recently, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the unit. From the initial tests being done through to the operation and aftercare, I could not fault the service I received there – right from the consultant through to the healthcare assistant.
On every visit all the staff were polite, helpful, respectful, friendly and always with a smile - which was much appreciated during a difficult time. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
You arrived as a patient and left as a friend.
New, up-to-date specialised equipment is needed to make the service there even better so if you are fundraising this year consider the breast unit for what you raise.
Not only would you have fun raising the funds but you may also be saving the life of a loved one.
Also many thanks for the excellent care given to me by the staff on Ward M2 after my operation. It was much appreciated.
A very grateful patient
