An over 60s exercise group is appealing for more members to save it from closure.

Boston Vitality, which holds classes at Blackfriars Theatre, in Spain Lane, currently only has six members.

The classes focus on having fun with gentle exercises set to music that aim to increase flexibility and strength while improving posture, mobility and coordination.

Emma Batty, who heads up the Vitality project, said: “If we don’t get more members we will have to close the Boston class - which would be a huge shame for the members who already benefit from it.”

She added: “Vitality is more than just exercise. The weekly classes are a great way to meet new people, build confidence and have fun in a relaxed, informal setting.”

Vitality is approved by the NHS and is subsidised by Lincolnshire County Council public health.

Classes are held Wednesdays, 9.30-10.30am.

Booking is not needed - and new members get their first class for free.

The cost is £3 per class or £9 for the month. Details on 01529 411194 or via www.vitalitylincs.co.uk.
