Breast cancer patients at Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital are benefitting from a generous donation.

£1,100 was raised at ‘Rockdown’ music event in Swineshead, in which the band ‘Emporium’ played for free.

The money was split between the breast unit and Breakthrough Breast Cancer and will be used to purchase equipment and help staff training at the Boston Breast Unit.

Breast unit secretary Cheryl Drayton said: “We would like to express our gratitude to our patient, Sarah Walker, who put so much effort into organising the event.”

There are already plans in place to hold a similar event this year.
