We will all at some time lose a loved one and it is during their time of acute illness that the family and friends rely on a team of professional people to care for our much-loved relative in the best way possible.

Our older sister sadly passed away recently and we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff on ward 8A at Pilgrim.

The team led by Rachel Tiffin treated my sister with absolute compassion and respect at all times.

They extended that care to us as a family and we were involved with decision making every step of the way.

Our thanks also to Dr Mike Perry.

Ward 8A is an extremely busy ward receiving patients with acute and sometimes life-threatening illnesses.

We as a family were so grateful for the time they gave us and more importantly thank them from the bottom of our hearts for making our sister’s last few hours very peaceful leading to her very dignified end of life.
