Pilgrim Hospital says the majority of its services, except x-ray, are now back up and running following yesterday’s fire.
Three fire crews attended the blaze which broke out in a duct adjacent to the X-ray Department - resulting in the majority of appointments being cancelled yesterday.
A spokesman for United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs the Sibsey Road site, said today: “Our engineers are working very hard to understand and resolve the problem.
“Until we know otherwise, we are still working towards having services up and running fully, at the very best, by tomorrow (Wednesday) but we will be providing updates based on our engineers investigations.
“We are working with our Clinical Commissioning Groups and other partner organisations to ensure that patients are treated in an appropriate manner.
“Patients should continue to come to the hospital as planned unless they have been told otherwise.”
They added: “We thank you for your continued support and apologise for any inconvenience.”
