CROWDS turned out in their hundreds to take part in an open-air church service in Boston’s Central Park on Sunday.
Around 300 people joined in the ‘blessing of Boston’ service at 3pm, and enjoyed a picnic, face-painting for children and live music from the Holy Trinity band and the New Life Fellowship.
“It was a great atmosphere in the park; very friendly and happy.” said the Rev Simon Dowson, vicar of Holy Trinity Church, Boston. “The combined band played several songs which could be heard across the park.”
He added: “It was also great to see many of Boston’s churches working together for the event.”
