A CENTURY of community activities and memories were celebrated in Kirton over the weekend.

From Friday to Sunday Kirton Town Hall was filled with people of all ages to mark the 100 years since the foundation of the building.

“The place was absolutely buzzing with people enjoying themselves,” said Kirton parish council chairman Alan Lee.

“The memorabilia exhibition created a lot of interest and the Saturday night concert brought back many memories for people as music was played from the 1920s up to present day.”

Other activities and displays put on included a concert, musical performances by local schoolchildren, vintage cycles, games, craft and food stalls.
