STAFF at Freshtime food processors in Boston have been presented with City & Guilds certificates for adult literacy in English.

Gaye Woodward, from the University of Lincoln, taught a group of the factory employees over a 20-week course. Safety and training co-ordinator Graham Dayes praised the staff for their ‘excellent achievement’.

Freshtime encourages its employees to improve their communication skills, which it says helps them to ‘integrate into the community’.
