BOSTON is gearing up from a visit from its sporting counterparts in Laval on July 21.
Some 46 competitors from the French town, twinned with Boston since 1958, will arrive to compete for the Valentine up in tennis and archery.
There will be no swimming competition this year.
Boston will be fighting to retain the trophy, won last year.
The cup will be presented to the winners by Boston mayor Coun Colin Brotherton, at Graves Park social club, Kirton, on Friday, July 27.
The evening celebrations begin at 6.30pm with the cup being presented at 6.45pm, and a hog roast from 7pm.
Music will be provided by Boston Grammar School band Blue in Green.
Local archery club the Pilgrim Bowmen will be staging events on July 23 and July 26. Boston Tennis Club host tournaments on July 22 and July 26.
