Letter: Show parking marred our day out
Having attended Revesby Country Fair on Sunday August 1, I feel I must comment on the car parking.
We arrived at 8.30am having travelled from Peterborough. I used to live in Boston, born at Old Leake, but have lived in Peterborough for the last 40 years.
There was no problem getting into the park, I was just totally confused by the miles of red and white tape.We enjoyed the morning but decided to leave at about 12.30pm. It was horrendous trying to get out. There were no exit signs and no one to direct us from where we were parked.
We had to drive through families having picnics. My daughter, Susan, had to get out of the car to try to find a way out; she had to lift the tape up so we might try and find a way out.
Other cars were at this time following us - quite a convoy, and remember, this was early in the show.
Eventually we did get out, but what could have been a longer enjoyable day was cut short because we did not wish to be trapped.
