Letter: Link up to have your say on health

I HAVE been out of the county for nearly a year so I do not know whether you have published an informative article about LINk the Local Involvement Network for your readers.

LINk is the peoples' voice on nearly all heath issues, certainly all that are funded by public money.

Our county LINk Executive is awaiting further documents from the Department of Health which will give more detail on how the Government intends to implement the plans outlined in the White Paper. Until we have such detail it is impossible to comment upon how the new proposals might be expected to operate in Lincolnshire, however in the meantime the LINk has invited the secretary of state for health to come to Lincolnshire and address a public meeting.

The LINk is also asking organisations and individuals throughout the county which are concerned about the proposals contained within the White Paper to contact it with their views.

It's important to you and your families. It could literally mean life or death if the new coalition get it badly wrong. Further details about the LINk's response to the White Paper can be obtained by contacting the LINk office on 01552 705190 or by contacting the LINk chairmain, Preston Keeling, on 01406 701944 (daytime) 373163 (evenings/weekends).
