The fat cats won't stop
I see the fat cats are still at it. All these financial problems started with the top so-called bankers who seemed not to know much about banking but lots about receiving extra large wages and bonuses to match.
Now, by the look of it, everybody who can is jumping on the money wagon. Jonathan Ross is said to have an 18 million contract, and this is to insult people. And another national paper reported Ant and Dec were getting 6.6 million. Also, it was reported, and I am not sure how true it is, they were worth every penny of it!
And to top it all, Lloyds TSB, which needed billions of support, is giving 120 million in bonuses to staff after making a loss of 10 billion. Seeing how the Government owns 42 per cent of this banking group they should do something about this – like take your bonus and collect your cards on the way out. This would let them see what it is like to be out of work and have your home repossessed and, in some cases, be made bankrupt.
Going back to these fat cat TV stars, what could we do to them? It's easy. Stop watching them on TV and when their ratings drop so will their wages. I could carry on with others such as footballers, cricketers. Do they not know we are in a recession while they keep asking for more money?
The only people suffering are the unemployed, the low-paid workers, and the old age pensioners. So let us do something about it: first, stop watching these fat cat presenters' TV shows and force the Government to control the banks.
