Boston’s community radio station is back on the FM airwaves next week – and set to broadcast over the Christmas period.

Endeavour Radio, the local not-for-profit radio station, will be back on the 87.7FM frequency broadcasting from Monday until December 23.

The station hasn’t hit the FM airwaves since summer 2010, after finding it difficult to raise the funds to make a return.

Currently, people can listen to the station online via endeav

“We are still slightly short of the funds required for this broadcast and are looking to Boston business to help to ensure our survival,” said Dylan Tayor, station manager and DJ.

“Our team of volunteers will be back for 28 days of broadcasting entertainment and local information, starting with the breakfast show to the more community-based shows of afternoon and drivetime.

“There will also be the continuation of our Boston United home game commentary and our specialist music shows.”

Visitors to the town centre this Christmas will get the chance to meet the Endeavour radio team as they compère the lights switch-on and speak to people at the Christmas market.
