A pizza poetry to remember
Saturday, 9am - A KEEN amateur poet, who wrote about her night out to a restaurant, has inspired a company to launch a national competition for the country's best pizza poet.
Tuesday Hammond, 42, from Mareham le Fen, wrote a poem about her night out to the restaurant Prezzo in Boston.
Mrs Hammond is a midday supervisor at the village school and Home Start volunteer.
Each week she gets together with her friends for a girls' night out, always on a Tuesday; the evening is called 'The Tuesday Club'.
Tuesday said: "It was a nice surprise actually, me and my friends go out every week and do different things and we decided to go."
Prezzo were so taken aback by the poem, that not only have they launched a competition to find the country's finest pizza poet, they've included Tuesday's poem in their marketing strategy.
Jonathan Kaye, CEO of the Prezzo chain, said: "When Tuesday's wonderful poem arrived, we were bowled over."
Tuesday and the girls now regularly visit the restaurant, and she's promised to take her husband Craig and their two children there soon.
