BREAKING NEWS: Explosive team on way to Boston Docks

Thursday, 12.30pm - AN EXLOSIVES team is on its way to Boston Dock after reports of a suspicious package.

A police spokesman said: "We were called to the docks about 10.55am where a suspicious package had been discovered."

The spokesman said a 100m cordon was in place, that staff had been evacauated from the dock area and the port closed.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was on its way.

Boston's Assembly Rooms has been opened up for an 'emergency planning incident' at Boston Docks.

Police have closed off South End at its junction with John Adams Way.
