Butterfly Hospice raft race ready to hit water

Thursday - AN EVENT postponed by poisonous algae is back on this Sunday.

The Butterfly Hospice Trust's raft race will be starting at Nunn's Bridge in Fishtoft.

It was originally planned to take place on Sunday, August 8, but the Environment Agency sent a warning about blue green algae a week beforehand and it was postponed.

Races start at 12noon but the public can turn up from 11am.

For the spectators there will be stalls, a beer tent, tea and coffee and a car boot.

Admission is 50p, under fives free.
