A ‘chicane’ system, which aims to ensure that traffic can move from one lane to the other safely, will be installed south of Boston using barriers and cones.

Organisers say the work to install the chicane will start at 5.30pm and is expected to be completed by 6am, on Sunday. Following this, the chicane will remain in place until August 26, when the works are said to ‘enter a new phase’.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place while the chicane is installed.

The developers are currently working on a roundabout which will form the entrance to the development which consists of a new community football stadium for Boston United, 500 houses, plus businesses and infrastructure.

It will also include a new Toucan signalised crossing on the Boston side.
