'Chiropractor' charged

Tuesday, 5pm: POLICE have charged a 53-year-old man from Frithville in connection with a chiropractic and osteopath practice he has run for the past 25 years.

Simon Barrett from Riggalls Farm, Thackers Road, was charged at Boston Police Station on Friday August 8 with contravening Sections 32 of both the Chiropractors and Osteopaths Act, allegedly having practiced without being registered or qualified to do so.

Mr Barrett was arrested on May 23 following a complaint by a member of public to the General Chiropractic Council raising concerns about his practice.

Mr Barrett was released on police bail pending further enquiries, answering bail last Friday.

Following charge, Mr Barrett was released on bail and is due to appear before Boston Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, August 27, at 9am.
