Contenders for Boston Pride Awards 2014 revealed as voting opens

Boston Standard Pride Awards at Boston West Golf Centre.

Boston Standard Pride Awards at Boston West Golf Centre.

The nominations for the Boston Standard Pride Awards are now in – and this is your chance to vote for the winners.

We have once again teamed up with L&H Homes to honour the area’s unsung community heroes across seven categories.

Over the next three pages we detail the candidates in each of the categories with a short piece on why they were put foward.

The nominees are all invited to an awards ceremony at Boston West Golf Centre in May, where the winners will be announced and receive their trophies. Runners-up also get certificates to mark their achievements.

When all of the winners are decided a panel of judges will also select an overall Boston Achiever.

To vote you can either buy a copy of this week’s Boston Standard and send in the coupon on page 10 or send a text message, with paper votes counting double.

No photocopies of voting slips will be accepted.

Forms should be sent to: Boston Standard Pride Awards, 5-6 Church Lane, Boston, Lincs, PE21 6ND.

Employers and their families at East Midlands Newspapers and L&H Homes are not eligible to enter.

Voting for the awards closes at noon on Friday, May 2, 2014.
