Boston Borough Council is providing a special waste collection service tomorrow (Saturday) specifically for flood damaged items.
Residents in areas of Boston damaged by flood waters are asked to present their goods at the front of their property for collection by 7.30am.
The council says residents must check with their insurance companies before disposing of goods to ensure there are no future disputes.
The authority has also located skips at Bath Gardens, High Street, Wormgate and Church Street for people to dispose of damaged property.
George Bernard, Head of Operations has said “This has been a difficult week for people across Boston and we are doing all we can to assist. In collecting the flood damaged items from homes, the council requires residents to sign a form to confirm they no longer require the items so some needs to be in when we arrive. I must stress that it is important that people also check with their insurance companies before presenting their items for collection”.
