Boston Borough Council’s PAs’ annual coffee morning raised £369 for charity.
The money will be equally split between the Mayor’s charities - Boston Salvation Army and Boston Citizens’ Advice Bureau - and a charity/research trials programme chosen by Steve Lumb, the council’s head of built environment and development and his wife, Judy, associated with the rare sudden-aggressive Lymphoma cancer, linked to Esptein-Barr virus (glandular fever), which resulted in the tragic death of their daughter, Lucy-Anne aged just 19.
The event was organised by Pauline Chapman, Luisa Stanney, Elaine Henton and Karen Stengel and supported by staff and councillors who baked and donated cakes and craft items. Funds were also raised through an Easter Grid competition.
