A man has had a number of bicycles seized from his address after being arrested last night (Thursday).
The 19-year-old was one of two men arrested last night who are currently in custody in connection with the theft of pedal cycles in Boston.
A police spokesman said that shortly before 9pm a 17-year-old man, from Kirton, was arrested in the Main Ridge East area of the town after two offenders were seen to enter a private garden and attempt to steal a bike.
Later that evening, a 19-year-old man from Joy Paine Close was also arrested and a number of cycles seized from his address.
The spokesman said: “Cycle theft is one of the ‘Boston Big Three’ crimes and local officers have recently launched a campaign aimed at reducing the number of victims”.
The two men remain in Boston custody being interviewed.
